Select a printer driver from the drop down menu at the bottom then click on the Add button. Fill in the IP address you configured in the printer's TCP/IP configuration and provide a queue name - not more than 11 alphanumeric characters (only punctuation allowed is the underscore (_). Select LPD Printer from the printer type's drop down menu. If you don't see the printer listed (it's not Bonjour aware nor using DHCP) then click on the IP icon in the setup utility's toolbar. If you see your printer listed there, select it and then select the printer driver from the drop down menu, then click on the Add button. Click on the Default icon in the setup utility's toolbar. To avoid possible conflicts choose an IP address somewhere in the middle of the range such as 10.0.1.100. Scanning may be a whole other problem if you can't find a compatible driver for the scanner. Who makes the printer? You need to know the manufacturer and the "real" model number of the printer in order to know if there's even a Snow Leopard printer driver. ![]()
